Chicago Blackhawks backup goaltender Scott Darling has put up great numbers so far in a contract year, after yesterday's win, the 28 year old now sits with a record of 11-4-2 with a 2.31 goals against average and a .925 save percentage.
Predicting what exactly the Vegas Golden Knights will do in the upcoming expansion draft is almost impossible, but all indictions should point to Darling going to Vegas whether it's as a starter or a backup.
There will possibly be some high end starts available if certain teams aren't able to make trades, we could see Jimmy Howard and Ben Bishop both be made available.
When June 21st comes around, Darling will be exposed one way or another with Crawford's contract clauses.
The Golden Knights can negotiate with Darling before the expansion draft if the Hawks haven't resigned him yet, or they can just claim him and whatever contract the Hawks sign him too.
When it comes to both money value, and the stats Darling has put up so far in his career, it's hard to deny that he holds fantastic value.
Do you think this will be Darling's last season in Chicago?
