The Chicago Blackhawks are on the brink of elimination, and it looks like we might see some lineup changes.
During Wednesday's practice, head coach Joel Quenneville had Michal Kempny paired with Brent Seabrook while Oduya found himself on the outside of the top six paired up with Gustav Forsling.
After practice Quenneville said nothing is confirmed but seeing Oduya instead of Kempny is "an option".
The more offensive minded Kempny could bring a different aspect to the Hawks lineup who have struggled severely to score. Fellow blueliner Niklas Hjalmarrsson feels like it could be a good call from Coach Q.
“He is having a great season for it being his first season over here,” Hjalmarsson said. “[Kempny and Seabrook] were playing well when they were playing together during the regular season. I’m sure he’s really excited to be in the lineup, if he is going to be in the lineup.”
After Oduya entered the Hawks lineup March 9th, Kempny was only able to draw into the lineup for four games.
