Who wouldn’t be excited to play with Marian Hossa? According to Chris Hine of the Chicago Tribune, Marko Dano has an extra reason to be excited.

Dano recalls meeting Hossa as a child when his father, Jozef, was a teammate of his with HK Dukla Trencin and the Slovakia national team.

"He's definitely a great player and when I was younger I was following his stats and games from the NHL," Dano said. "My dad was playing with him when he was turning pro so it's cool that now I get a chance to play with him in Chicago."

Jozef Dano is 10 years older than the Hawks veteran star and he served as his mentor when he was coming up through the ranks in Slovakia.  Now Hossa gets to return the favor to his son Marko. Ah, the circle of life!

Here are all of Marko Dano’s NHL goals put together by our good friends at Puckin Hostile.
