This has been one hell of a week for Chicago Blackhawks rookie forward John Hayden.  On Saturday, his college career ended when Yale University was eliminated from the ECAC tournament in a 4-3 loss to rival Harvard.

On Sunday, Hayden was officially a professional as he signed his entry-level contract with the Blackhawks and reported to the practice the following day.

Just five days after playing his final college game, Hayden was in the lineup versus the Ottawa Senators for his NHL debut. His teammates let him lead the team on the on the ice for the pregame skate, but hung back for a minute to put all eyes on the rookie.
