After last night’s win at the Ottawa Senators the Chicago Blackhawks headed to Toronto for Saturday night’s game against the Maple Leafs.
Blackhawks leading scorer Patrick Kane took some time during his off day to visit the set of Sportsnet’s Hockey Central broadcast.
Kane walked onto the set as a maintenance man named “Patrice” to fix a faulty ceiling panel equipped with his hard hat, ladder and power drill.
Kane is trying to become the first player to win consecutive Art Ross Trophies since Jaromir Jagr won four straight scoring titles for the Pittsburgh Penguins between the 1997-98 season and 2000-01. Last night, Kane had the primary assist on Richard Panik’s game winning goal to bring his point total up to 77 on the season.
Unfortunately for Kane, both Brad Marchand of the Boston Bruins and Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oiler had three points on Thursday night and they are currently tied for the NHL’s scoring lead with 79 points each.
