It's part of one of the most exciting NHL offseasons in recent memory, the expansion draft for the NHL's newest member, the Vegas Golden Knights.
For months there's been speculation for each team and what players they'll protect, and what surprises could find themselves unprotected.
The expansion draft also presents the opportunity for teams to shed salary and make side deals with Vegas.
On Sunday morning, the NHL released the protected lists for each team and Vegas will have the next couple of days to make their lists.
Of course, according to many reports, the Hawks already have a deal in place where they'll be losing both Marcus Kruger and Trevor van Riemsdyk through a combination of trade and the expansion draft.
Here's is the official Chicago Blackhawks protected list:
Forwards: Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Marian Hossa, Artem Anisimov, Ryan Hartman, Richard Panik, Tomas Jurco.
Defenseman: Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook, Niklas Hjalmarsson.
Goaltender: Corey Crawford.
What do you think of the Hawks protected list? Are you at all surprised?
