With the Blackhawks losing in overtime to the Toronto Maple Leafs last night, the team did not have a morning skate today.  Considering the Blackhawks have no extra forwards, we can expect to see the same combinations we saw last night.

Head coach Joel Quenneville does have options on the back as neither Cody Franson nor Jordan Osterle has yet to play through three games.  The pairing of Michal Kempny and Connor Murphy has been the least impressive through the early part of the season, so we shall see if Q tries for a different look tonight.

Corey Crawford will start in goal in his hometown of Montreal.  This could spell doom for the offensively challenged Habs as not only as has Crawford stopped 60 of 62 shots on the season, but he is 7-0-2 with a .951 save percentage, 1.55 GAA and one shutout in career versus the Habs.

The Canadiens have stumbled out of the gates with just three goals in as many games this season with just one in their last two losses to the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers.  The Blackhawks will need to bring traffic to the goal crease tonight as they will be facing one of the best net minders in the game in Carey Price.

***UPDATE***

Quenneville said Franson is likely in tonight. He said Schmaltz is doing better, still looking at a possible Thursday return.
