The Rockford IceHogs are off to a good start to the 2017-18 season. First year head coach Jeremy Colliton has breathed new life into the Blackhawks farm team and has them at 10-7-0.
Vinnie Hinostroza has eight goals and 17 points in 17 games while youngsters like Matthew Highmore and Luke Johnson have been contributing to offensive success. Both goaltenders, Jean-Francois Berube and Jeff Glass, have been solid in net as the Hogs look to make the Calder Cup playoffs out of the very competitive Central Division.
If you have facial hair and want to see the IceHogs in action, Wednesday night’s game versus the Iowa Wild is your chance to help set a world record!
Per the IceHogs official website, the team will attempt “to break a Guinness World Record for most beards and mustaches in one place. The world-record attempt caps off the IceHogs’ month-long initiative to support Brovember Inc., a local non-profit which raises awareness about prostate cancer and men’s health.”
Fans in attendance with facial hair will be invited down to the playing surface after the game to take a photo as they go for the record!
