The Chicago Blackhawks will end their stretch of five games in seven days when they host the Los Angeles Kings tonight.  If they win, the Blackhawks would pick up six points over this stretch, but that will not be an easy task.

If the Blackhawks ever needed a game where the Patrick Kane line to take over, tonight is that game.  The Blackhawks are coming off a shootout loss to the Dallas Stars in a game that started an hour later than usual while the Kings spent the night in Chicago waiting for them.  The Kings have won four straight games and have the league’s best road record at 9-3-1.

Joel Quenneville just met with the media and confirmed that Anton Forsberg will start his second straight game in net.  Forsberg did not look great in the shootout last night, but he was the biggest reason the game even got that far with numerous big saves in regulation and overtime.

When Quenneville was asked about any lineup changes, he replied “we’ll see.” While it is doubt we will see anyone come out of the lineup, he could mix up where his forwards start the game.  Richard Panik has not scored in 16 games, so he could be moved off the top line.
