The Chicago Blackhawks will return to action on Thursday after their trip over to Europe. 

The San Jose Sharks who sit with an 0-3 record will visit the United Center after they visit the Nashville Predators on Tuesday. 

When San Jose hits the ice in Chicago, they could be going up against a Blackhawks' team who has one of their key defenseman back. 

Connor Murphy practiced on the third pairing with Slater Koekkoek today and after practice had some good news. 

The Hawks' defenseman said he was "hopeful" to play on Thursday.
