The Chicago Blackhawks and Dallas Stars begin a home-and-home series tonight at the United Center with the rematch in Texas Saturday night.

This is our first look at the improved Stars team that now includes forwards Martin Hanzal and Alex Radulov, goaltender Ben Bishop and our old friend Ken Hitchcock behind the bench.  The Stars enter tonight’s game tied with the Blackhawks at 27 points.

The Stars have had much of their success on home ice this year.  They are 4-8-1 away from the American Airlines Center this season.  They snapped a four-game road losing streak at the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday night and have only won back-to-back road games once this season.

Dallas has also been pretty brutal within the Central Division to start the season with just one win in seven games.

Joel Quenneville is sticking with the same lines and defensive pairs we have seen for the past few games.  Hard to argue with Tuesday’s effort at the Nashville Predators so there is no reason to break up what has been working.

Corey Crawford will return to the net after getting the night off in Nashville.  He is 15-10-0 with 2.84 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage in 26 career games versus the Stars.
