It's a name that some Chicago Blackhawks have forgotten about since the blockbuster trade this summer but he's back.
Defenseman Adam Boqvist was sent to Columbus with the blockbuster trade that landed the Blackhawks defenseman Seth Jones from the Blue Jackets.
A blockbuster trade that Boqvist found out about on Instagram actually.
It was also a trade that was never supposed to happen.
Boqvist revealed to reporters this week that the Blackhawks had promised his agent he wouldn't be traded during the offseason.
While he's not happy about being lied to, he's moved on and is happy in Columbus.
"I’m happy in Columbus. This is where I want to be,"
Boqvist has 14 points in 23 games so far this season with Columbus.
What do you think of his comments?
#CBJ defenseman Adam Boqvist said his agent had been told by the Blackhawks that he wouldn't be traded, so the deal this summer was a bit of a surprise. He actually found out on Instagram about the trade, but that's the biz. "I’m happy in Columbus. This is where I want to be."
