Just a little while ago, the Chicago Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman learned they'd be losing a forward to the SHL.
Jacob Nilsson decided to head back to Europe and sign a one year deal with SHL club Färjestads.
He'll be joined in the SHL by another Hawks forward next year.
Anton Wedin has decided to do the same and head back to Europe.
Wedin has signed with HV71 of the SHL for next season.
While Nilsson wasn't able to get any NHL action last season, Wedin was up for four games but failed to register a point.
He put up seven goals and 17 points for Rockford in 31 games.
Chicago #Blackhawks forward Anton Wedin has agreed a deal with HV71 (SHL) for next season. The 27-year old spent most of the year in the AHL, collecting 17 points in 31 games.
