As the Chicago Blackhawks prepare for their season opener they continue to trim the roster down.
On Monday, the Hawks and general manager Stan Bowman announced a roster move.
The team has placed defenseman Carl Dahlstrom on waivers.
The 24 year old split last season between the Hawks and the Rockford IceHogs and registering six assists during his time in Chicago.
Dahlstrom was drafted in the second round of the 2013 NHL Draft by the Hawks.
