It happens to every team and now it's happened to the Chicago Blackhawks.
A European prospect not happy in North America has decided to leave his NHL team behind and head back to Europe.
That's exactly what forward Jacob Nilsson has decided to do.
After appearing in two Blackhawks' games during the 2018-19 season, Nilsson never got a call up this year and decided he's heading back to Europe after 62 games with Rockford this season.
Nilsson will be joini SHL club Färjestads on a two-year contract.
Chicago #Blackhawks forward Jacob Nilsson will be leaving the team at the end of this season to join SHL club Färjestads on a two-year contract. The 26-year old “late bloomer” signed a one-year extension last summer after making 2 NHL appearances, but failed to do so this season.
