The Chicago Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman announced a roster move on Monday.
Bowman announced that the team has signed defenseman Slater Koekkoek to a one year extension at $925k.
It's a bit of surprising move considering Koekkoek was just a depth addition during the season however the Hawks seemed to have liked what they saw.
The 25 year old registered five points in 22 games during his time in Chicago and has 19 points in 107 career NHL games.
Back for more! Koekkoek has inked a 1-year extension with Chicago. #Blackhawks https://t.co/ScBQLBro3S
