The Chicago Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman announced a trade on Tuesday.
Chicago has sent forward Artem Anisimov to the Ottawa Senators for forward Zack Smith.
It's a money saving move as Smith only has two years left on his contract at $3.25million while Anisimov has two years left at $4.55million a season.
Smith was an alternate captain for the Senators last year and will bring some leadership to the Hawks locker room and put up nine goals and 19 assists for the Senators last season.
Anisimov says goodbye to Chicago after playing four seasons with the Blackhawks and registered 77 goals and 78 assists.
