We had a bit of shocker this morning as the Vegas Golden Knights traded goalie Marc-Andre Fleury to the Chicago Blackhawks.
Apparently Blackhawks' fans weren't the only one shocked as Fleury seems to be pretty shocked as well.
Reports indicate that Fleury was not asked about the trade and actually found out he was traded after logging on to Twitter.
Pretty shocking news for the 2021 Vezina Trophy winner.
This puts the Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman in a tough position as if Fleury doesn't plan to play they could use his $7million cap hit to sign a goalie during free agency.
Without knowing Fleury's decision, the Blackhawks will be pretty strapped for cash tomorrow.
More details to come.
While Marc-Andre Fleury still hasn’t heard from anybody with the Vegas Golden Knights, he has apparently been traded to Chicago. Marc-Andre will be taking time to discuss his situation with his family and seriously evaluate his hockey future at this time.
