The Chicago Blackhawks season is long gone and while most guys have packed it up and headed home, some guys will be going to Europe for the IIHF World Championships.
One of those players is Patrick Kane and he was just given a pretty big honor.
Kane has been named captain of Team USA once again.
Kane put on an absolute show at the last World Championships when he registered 20 points in 10 games including eight goals.
The United States lost 6-0 to Sweden in the semi-finals last year but would beat Canada for the bronze medal.
Blackhawks' Patrick Kane will serve as captain of the 2019 U.S. Men's National Team that will compete in the IIHF Men's World Championship in Slovakia.
