The Chicago Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman announced some injury news on Saturday. 

The team announced that forwards Andrew Shaw and Zack Smith are officially done for the season. 

Shaw has been dealing with concussion issues and hasn't played since November 30. He had registered 10 points in 26 games during his return to Chicago. 

Bowman also announced that Smith undergo surgery regarding a back issue and will be out for the remainder of the season. 

Tough blow for two of Bowman's offseason acquisitions. 

Forward Brandon Hagel has been recalled from the Rockford IceHogs.
