The good news regarding Chicago Blackhawks starting goalie Corey Crawford keeps rolling in.
General manager Stan Bowman said recently that Crawford "should be ready to go" when it comes time for training.
Crawford has been on injured reserve going back to December 27th of last year and it looks like Crawford has officially taken the first steps of his comeback.
Pat Boyle of NBC Sports Chicago reports that Crawford was on the ice skating last week for the first time since February. Boyle says he saw Crawford last week and he looks good and we should have a better idea how ready he is for the season later on in the week.
The Athletic's Mark Lazerus confirmed Boyle's report stating Crawford was skating last week.
This is great news, as much as Cam Ward is easily an upgrade over last year's spinning wheel of backups, we'd all prefer to have Crawford between the pipes.
