With some big changes coming this offseason, the Chicago Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman made a small signing on Thursday.
The team announced a one year deal with forward Andreas Martinsen.
The 27 year old was acquired in a trade last October with the Montreal Canadiens which saw the Hawks send Kyle Baun the other way.
He put up 28 points in 64 games in Rockford and one goal in nine games for the Hawks.
It's more a depth signing then anything and is some emergency in case any injuries happen, it's also some depth incase Bowman ends up making any big moves this summer flipping a forward to strengthen the defense.
In 13 games in the 2018 #CalderCup Playoffs, he notched five points (2G, 3A), helping the @goicehogs to the Western Conference Finals. https://t.co/RGMSjizys3
