It was a busy weekend for the Chicago Blackhawks and every other team across the NHL.
The NHL Draft Combine was hosted in Buffalo and while many are guessing who the Blackhawks will take with the #8 pick, it will depend on what happens from 1-7.
While it's pretty much guaranteed the Buffalo Sabres will take Rasmus Dahlin, Andrei Svechnikov and Filip Zadina are likely to go 2-3, however after that anything can happen.
One player that seems to be drawing a lot of interest from teams despite not being ranked in the top 10 is Finnish center Jesperi Kotkaniemi, as some are ranking him as the actual top center in the draft.
The Chicago Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman seem to be one of those teams.
The Hawks were one of the three teams that took the center prospect out for dinner along with the Montreal Canadiens and Detroit Red Wings.
Would you like to see the Hawks take Kotkaniemi at #8?
Chicago, Detroit and Montreal were the 3 teams that also had dinner with Kotkaniemi to get to know him better. Check where these 3 teams are picking and tell me that a scouting service having Kotkaniemi as the 18 pick is on the ball.
