The summer rages on and the Chicago Blackhawks interest in landing a top defenseman seems to be growing.
The team has been heavily attached to both Seth Jones and Dougie Hamilton this offseason and while landing both is highly unlikely, it wouldn't be shocking to see the Hawks' land one.
With Duncan Keith reportedly on his way out, the Hawks will have some cap space and some minutes on the blueline up for grabs.
While the Hamilton situation is a bit more complex as he's a pending UFA and the Carolina Hurricanes might trade his negotiating rights before hand, Jones still has a year left on his deal and will be moved this summer.
The youngster has already told the Columbus Blue Jackets he won't be signing an extension and plans to test free agency during the summer of 2022 as a ploy to get the team to trade him now.
So what exactly would it cost for the Hawks to land Jones?
According to Aaron Portzline and Corey Pronman of The Athletic, here's what a package for Jones would likely look like:
"Forward Philipp Kurashev, defenseman Nicolas Beaudin, left-wing prospect Lukas Reichel, and a first-round pick in 2022"
Would you give all that up to land Jones?
