Earlier today we saw interim general manager Kyle Davidson move out one of former GM Stan Bowman's "projects".

Forward Alex Nylander found himself shipped out of town and headed toward Pittsburgh to join the Penguins.

That's the first of what likely will be a couple of trades between now and the deadline.

Two other projects, Dylan Strome and Henrik Borgstrom will likely moved and one of them could be packaged with Marc-Andre Fleury.

According to Oilers' insider, Jim Matheson, the Oilers are showing interest in Connor McDavid's former junior teammate, Strome.

That's pretty interesting because top NHL insider, Elliotte Friedman, reports in his latest 32 thoughts that the Oilers are also looking at Fleury as an option to solve their disastrous goalie situation.

Packaging the two players together could land the Hawks' the Oilers 1st round pick and maybe a prospect.

The Hawks don't have their own 2022 1st because of the Seth Jones trade.

This will definitely be an interesting story to follow in the coming weeks.
