Talk is starting to heat up around the Chicago Blackhawks and what general manager Stan Bowman might do at the deadline.
While the Hawks are still in the playoff race, they still might become sellers at the deadline.
Recent reports brought up the possibility of Bowman ready to turn around and flip Brandon Saad after just bringing him back this summer.
Would he actually do it?
Reports out of Montreal today caused quite a stir on social media as the Canadiens and Hawks have been scouting each other recently.
Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin himself was seen at last night's game between the Hawks and Wild. At the same time Hawks scouts were present at the Canadiens - Preds game in Montreal.
While Saad only has 13 goals in 55 games this season, he could definitely help a struggling Montreal Canadiens offense. The team has struggled to score goals and are currently ranked near the bottom in the goals for department.
What exactly the Hawks could get in return is another question, the Habs prospect cupboards aren't too full but they don't have plenty of draft picks in the upcoming draft. The Hawks only have a first and third round pick during the first four rounds while the Canadiens have a first, three second round picks and a third.
With trade talk building up, do you think Saad could really be gone by the deadline?
