The Chicago Blackhawks open up their 2020-21 season tonight as they take on the Lightning in Tampa Bay.
The deck is already stacked against them as they'll be without Jonathan Toews and Kirby Dach for the majority and possibly whole season along with defenseman Brent Seabrook who's still rehabbing from offseason surgery.
However it seems surgery isn't the only obstacle regarding Seabrook at the moment.
While speaking to the media, general manager Stan Bowman revealed that Seabrook should start skating soon but added that the surgeries aren't the only reason Seabrook has been missing from camp.
Bowman added that they'll have an announcement soon and that Seabrook won't see any game action for "a few weeks".
We wonder what the announcement could be?
Brent Seabrook is expected to resume skating again soon, Stan Bowman said. He said the organization will announce soon why Seabrook has been out.
