The Chicago Blackhawks made a big move on Monday night as they continued to bolster their defense.
General manager Stan Bowman added Calvin de Haan just a couple of days after trading for Olli Maatta continuing his completely revamped defense over the last two offseasons.
While speaking to the media on Tuesday morning Bowman revealed what his main target is during free agency.
Bowman revealed on 670 The Score that his focus is on landing a penalty killing forward at the moment, hopefully on a short term one year deal.
The names that mostly stick out are Corey Perry, Brian Boyle and possibly Pierre-Edouard Bellemare.
Which of the three would sign a one year deal?
Likely Perry or Boyle.
It'll be an interesting storyline to follow over the next couple of days,
Stan Bowman said on @670TheScore his focus is now on penalty-killing forwards. He said they could add a player or two more. He’s also aiming for mostly one-year deals.
